The Marine Corps has elected to continue their mutually beneficial relationship with CenGen, Inc in pursuit of superior communications for low echelon users. The primary goal for the Tactical Data Radio Characterization (TDRC) is the evaluation of data capable tactical radios able to support various United States Marine Corps (USMC) network topologies.

CenGen will initially serve in Phase II of the Contract. Working out of the integration facility in Carlsbad, CA, CenGen engineers will vet Vendor solutions that appear to satisfy mission need and capability requirements at a one week, invitation-only system demonstration. Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), Camp Pendleton, California will provide Government oversight.

The Marine Corps will use the results of the week-long testing to determine what capabilities exist in the marketplace to fulfill the Government’s requirements.
