Applications are the window through which users view software. CenGen recognizes that Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications meet neither the Government’s nor future industries’ communication needs. They do not work well in a highly mobile, bandwidth constrained operational environment. Neither do commercially available applications fulfill CenGen’s expectations in that we believe it is critical for network demonstrations and laboratory test efforts to have realistic voice, video, chat, and situational awareness applications. To remedy the lack, CenGen created its own applications. CenGen purposefully developed these applications to support large-scale testbed activities and field demonstrations.

In creating applications, CenGen engineers guarantee their compatibility with each other and with legacy systems in use by the Government and the Armed Forces. Because CenGen is vendor independent, we have the flexibility to tailor applications suites to the specific needs of a client. Creating and using our own applications in developing and testing solutions for our clients provides us with the opportunity to continually update and improve our applications. CenGen applications are always leading edge.

CenGen software is integrated and ready to run on a variety of platforms and devices. The screen capture at left shows SA, Chat, FalconView and three Video applications.

All of CenGen’s applications are outfitted to allow autonomous operation in both testbed and field environments. They support the collection of utility data to help assess end user utility and end user performance over a large scale network.
